No. Nobody needs an account, not even the person who creates the group. Type a name, add expenses, share the link.
For each expense you choose who paid and how it is split: equally between everyone, equally between some people, exact amounts per person, or shares (for example 2:1:1). Cents that cannot be split evenly go to the person who paid, so the total always adds up exactly.
Evenly adds up what everyone paid and what everyone owes, and shows the fewest payments needed to settle up. When someone has paid, tap "Mark as paid" and the balances update for everyone.

Yes. Choose "Add a member" and type a name. Anyone can enter expenses for anyone; the group sees everything.
Anyone with the link. The link is a long random code that cannot be guessed, and group pages are not indexed by search engines. Share the link only with your group.
Only the group name, member names, expenses and payments are stored. No email address, no phone number, no bank details, no tracking. Anyone with the link can delete the group completely, and then everything is gone for good. If nobody deletes it, it stays 12 months after the last activity so you can come back to it, then it is deleted automatically.
